Trip through Utah, Idaho, and Oregon

Photos and Notes from Day 11, Tuesday, June 28

Prev. Day
Across the great state of Oregon today.  From the very east-most city of Ontario, about two-thirds of the way west to stop in Bend.  The road, US-20 is two lane all the way through lush agricultural areas and into the bad lands.

We stopped at little cafes along the way in Junturo, Burns, and one more in the middle of nowhere.  All were terrific, and the people were great. Junturo has the smallest post office I have ever seen.

As she always does, Carol took some outstanding photos.

Bela turned over 20,000 miles today.

Today seemed like a series of very long (~50 mile) stretches.

Next door is a wine store
If you purchase a bottle of wine, the waitress
has to ring it up over there and
place it into a brown paper bag.
