Down the length of California

Day's Route Overview:
Today I planned on starting from home and to reach Needles, California.
I started out down 101 to 152, over to 5 and then down to 46, over to 99,
down to Bakersfield. From there 58 and then 40 over to Needles.
It was still early so I continued on 40 into Arizona and spent the night in Kingman

At this point, about 60 miles ahead of schedule.
A planned total of 522 miles for the day.

Familiar territory, not much to plan on.  No new city or county letters to stop for.

There are some beautiful roses there. And the bees
appreciate them.
A late breakfast at the BK on Hwy-198.

I was just by here a couple weeks ago.
   

From Hwy-5 I threaded my way over to Hwy-40
and headed East for Needles.  While nearing Needles,
I decided that it was too early in the day to stop.  So
I continued over to Kingman.

Between Needles and Kingman is the Yucca Rest Stop
