Trip through Utah, Idaho, and Oregon
Photos and Notes from Day 18, Tuesday, July 5
Prev. Day |
It was with very mixed feelings that
we welcomed the day. This is the last day of our
vacation trip. Sadness. But, it always good to
be home.
We started the day in Fort Bragg, CA, rode
about 230 miles and ended at home, tired and road-worn.
With such emotions, we did not take any photos, just
intent on getting home.
For some reason, I chose to
route us down Hwy-128 from Medocino to Cloverdale.
This starts out winding through redwood forests which are
beautiful and then through the Anderson Valley vineyards.
However, the condition of this road is not really good and
the traffic is moderate. Without a specific
destination in mind, I would not choose to take this route
again.
Crossing the Golden Gate was great. The
fog did not reach down to the road surface although it did
obscured the towers and it was a bit breezy. Very San
Francisco weather. Traffic down 19th Ave was
relatively light and before long we were making our way down
280 and finally home. |
