Leaving, I head north across the bridge. The bridge deck is so high that the ramp up to it is a 360 degree circle This is high enough for even the tallest sea-going vessel to pass beneath. Once across the high end, the bridge continues at a level 15-20 feet above the water In all, the bridge is about four miles long with most of that at this low level At the most northern end, there is more clearance beneath for smaller vessels. |

Washington seems to go on forever. Within a few tens of miles of Port Angeles goes along the shore of Lake Crescent The road along the shore is almost at water level and is very sinuous with a speed limit of 35 mph Although beautiful, enough already. |
