The last day of a big ride is always a time of mixed emotions.  There is an axiousness to be home after a long time away.  There is also a sadness at the close of an adventure.

We stopped in Placerville and wandered around a bit.  Had a coffee and a bite in a local coffee house.
The town was awfully quiet.

Next, we tried to stop in Folsom at the HD dealer there.  Who'd have thought that on a Memorial Day they would not be open.

We also stopped in Martinez.  The town was dead.  Did no one know that it is a holiday?

Happily, sadly, we headed home.  The close of a very good adventure.
