Prev. Day |
We started the day in
Cedar City which is the county seat for
Iron County, Utah.
In my eight years of
chasing county letters, I have never
gotten and "I". I have now bagged every letter but "X"
for counties.
The scenic route from Cedar City to
Bryce Canyon National Park is over the top of some
mountain ridges.
All along State Route 14, is some absolutely
gorgeous scenery. First, some really spectacular rock
canyons through which we wove, then some great forested
areas and some alpine high valleys.
Dixie National Forest has a lookout from which you can see
100 miles.
Bryce Canyon National Park is all it's cracked up (pun)
to be. For more photos of Bryce

After Bryce, we headed back to I-15 the N/S highway up
the center of Utah. We over-nighted in Beaver, UT |

On SR-14 at the top, we were in areas where the snow had not
fully melted. |

SR-14 ends at US-89 |
US-89 heading north |
We stopped in Hatch, UT for a bit of a snack. Across the
road was a little bit of everything. |
|
the approach to Bryce is itself something to see. |
|
Unintentional self portrait, also beautiful |
There are too many photos of Bryce to show on this page.
