Trip through Utah, Idaho, and Oregon
Photos and Notes from Day 14, Friday, July 1
Prev. Day |
We sadly bade goodbye to
Florence, OR and headed south reaching
Crescent City, CA.
As we rode through
Coos Bay and stopped at the local
Highway
101 Harley dealer, we were
both thinking that this town does not have anywhere near the
charm as Florence. A real stroke of good fortune that
we had chosen to change our route to head for the coast by
the more northerly route.
We were lucky(?) to get one of the
last rooms available in the Best Western in Crescent City.
The place filled completely up. Many people came after
we did and were turned away. However, we were on the
ground floor and the people above us walked around until
about 1:00 AM. Now, normally that would not be so bad,
but the building construction was either so poor or the
condition so dilapidated that loud creaking accompanied the
loud foot falls, keeping us awake. They resumed early
in the morning. |
