Head West, Young Man, Head West We left Omaha with several goals in mind. To get a photo with an official sign reading "Omaha"
for an "O" letter for my ABCs. We accomplished all of these. |

 I-80 through Nebraska is being reworked in a major way. They seemed to be working in 10-15 mile stretches. |
 This makes traffic jamb up for very long periods at a time. very frustrating |

 did I mention a lot of corn? almost every time you look there is another corn field |
 We were joined briefly by another bike with a trailer. Another time we passed a group of three bikes with trailers going the other way. |
 I-80 has an arch which commemorates something or other. You are almost on it when you first see it |
 you would have to get off and drive back some miles to be able to visit it |
 this marks the 100th meridian it was thought hard to farm west of here because rainfall was unreliable |
 we got to North Platte and checked into a Quality Inn. Turns out this is the weekend and this is the place for Miss Nebraska |
 Buffalo Bill used to winter his show in North Platte so they have tourist stuff |
