| Carol and I picked up the
bike we rented. It was raining a good bit when we took
the shuttle from the hotel to the dealership. Jamie is a very
nice young woman who waited on us. She explained all the
legalese as she one by one put the mountain of papers in front of us
to sign. Finally, the bike was brought around to the front of
the building. It is what Harley calls pearl black. Very
pretty. Jamie went through all the functions of the bike
except for the radio, intercom, & CB. After much playing
around, I still have not mastered this electronic quagmire.
Oh, well. Maybe tomorrow.
This bike is quite different in feel from mine. All the
controls are located slightly differently and the feel of the clutch
is alien.
After a day of riding it, I was getting more used to
it and more smooth. Later, I was much more comfortable.
Carol was very patient with my
initial lurching and jerking.

When Carol and I got to
the other dealership, Rhonda, Garron, James, Ross, and Randy were already
finished with all their processing. Ross was quick to figure
out his radio and had it playing loudly for all of us to hear.
Garron and I have still not figured out how to make the radio or
intercom to work. Sigh.
