Heading out from Fond du Lac, I needed to get a photo of Fond du Lac County for an "F" county

On the road again

Oshkosh (b'gosh) is the home of the EAA AirVenture Museum Obviously a popular place for motorcyclists One of the first exhibits you see is a replica of the Wright Brothers They hang full size machines in the funniest ways And, maybe seeing Wisconsin on the back of a motorcycle is not the worst way to have the wind in your hair

Back on the road hoping the clouds are friendly

Harley-Davidson of Appleton was the next recipient of a visit I love their motto: Dream it, Ride it, Live it

How can one visit Green Bay without visiting Lambeau Field A pro shop is at the stadium which sells anything you can think of How can one have a tailgait party without a slow cooker? And, where in the parking lot does one plug it in?

Green Bay also has the National Railroad Museum What little boy does not love a train? Perhaps the apex of steam, a Big Boy You can also see one in the Sacramento RR Museum The GG-1 was big in the Washington D.C. to N.Y.C. corridore I saw some in a railroad yard in about 1975  They have several excursions around a short loop each day I'll have to come back some time to have a ride

Vandervest Harley-Davidson Green Bay (note the name and see below)

back on the road If you are getting tired of seeing road photos, sometimes, I was tired of taking them

Peshtigo, WI is the home of another Vandervest Harley-Davidson It is in this small town and just over 2 miles from the highway When I walked in, I asked how they managed to keep this store active The tired older woman at the door said it was closing on August 29 She will be out of a job.  Sad

Along the way for some time I had been seeing billboards for a cheese shop so I sought it out I indulged myself with samples and was very glad to have stopped

Marinette is back on the shore of Lake Michigan The wind was blowing and the water somewhat choppy but the ducks did not seem to mind

I entered Michigan.  Had to have a photo ASAP This is the 48th state in which I have ridden a motorcycle. All the continuous U.S.  Now for Alaska and Hawaii...

Oh, No!  More road pictures! Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula Michigan (U.P.) are beautiful in their own way

At last, Escanaba, MI However, I had a devil of a time finding a room Everything was full.  I asked why, was something going on? But they said it is always like this in the summer in the U.P.
