Lake Michigan Trip Day 8 Sunday August 9, 2015

Today was a short distance
From Dayton, Ohio to Inidanapolis, Indiana
I had the pleasure of having dinner with five beautiful women

Places Visited Along The Way, Photos, and Notes
Best Western Plus in Englewood is west of Dayton
so I headed back east.  I looked like it could be a nice day
I went through the National Museum of the US Air Force
I have visited this place before but that was in the late 80's
Everything has been totally redone since so it was all new to me

When I arrived, it was warm and muggy and the parking lot
was very full.  In fact, I circled the lot twice trying to find
a place close that I could wedge the bike into.
Then I noticed that there was motorcycle parking right up front.
Inside was massive.  Three huge hangars and they are
in the process of expanding to a fourth

Huge airplanes stacked and hanging everywhere you look

In the bottom right photo, that is a B-52 which has
eight engines and is huge.  The building dwarfs it.
On the left, a B1B supersonic bomber
On the right, a B2, the stealth guy

The SR-71, the super fast reconnaissance airplane

They also had some Russian Migs

Of course, I had to have someone take a photo of me
to prove I had been here

As I was leaving, I noticed a motorcycle

This is the tribute bike build by Orange County Choppers
that you might have seen being created on the TV program
Then I headed to Indianapolis
The weather was just not cooperating at this point
A very light but annoying rain
Not enough to put on the rain gear, but keeping the windshield wet

Ohio was happy to see me go, but I saw no sign that
Indiana was happy to see me arrive
I went by Harley-Davidson Center in Richmond, Indiana
I knew it would be closed, but thought just maybe
Besides, it was lunch time
Kept going until I hit Indianapolis
First stop was at Harley-Davidson Of Indianapolis Northside

Somehow, I managed to turn down the volume of the routing instructions on the GPS.
The music was plenty loud, but the GPS messages were inaudible
As you might imagine, a loud motorcycle, the howl of the wind,
you might want the turn-by-turn instructions to be loud
It took two different people from the dealership to help
me figure out how to turn up the volume.
I had the pleasure of the company of five beautiful women for dinner
We ate at Athens on 86th  A very good Greek restaurant
I found Best Western Country Suites for the night
A very large suite (pronounced soot around here)

I'd like to hear from you
