The Best Western was indeed best so far When I went to the lobby for breakfast, I saw that it was raining, hard Oh pooh!  Well I've got rain gear for this Oh, oh the rain gear is outside on the bike Well, I also brought an umbrella Darn, it's on the bike as well Fortunately, the rain soon let up By delaying my departure for 30-45 minutes The rain was gone, just wet streets to deal with Not to mention a wet saddle

My first stop was at a post office to mail a care package of all my loot home There is not enough room on a bike for too much extra stuff And, besides, excess baggage fees on the airplane are huge

Starting out, the sky was completely overcast and a bit threatening. But as the sun warmed things and as I headed further south, it really cleared

First real stop was Toledo Harley-Davidson They were having a party, but as yet no one came I bought my shirt and as I came out I had a free hotdog As I was saddling up I heard a woman's voice yelling "I told you that would happen!" As I looked, I realized that two other women both on Harleys had both fallen sideways, one on top of the other The Harley guys quickly rushed over and helped them up. Now when two bikes topple sideways on top of one another one or both riders may get a leg sandwiched between With all the hard, jagged metal on the side of each bike this can be really bad. I guess, luckily, both were okay, up and walking after

Okay, about this time it is starting to get really warm and humid

At one point, I looked up and saw an "X" in the sky When I was young, I learned that an "X" marks buried pirate treasure Maybe this was sort of like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

Piqua Harley-Davidson was a surprise I had not noticed it when I was making plans They have listing in the Harley GPS so I stopped

Buckeye Harley-Davidson in Dayton, Ohio They are having a music event tonight

Now to get an "X" city photo for Xenia. I know, I'll go to the post office No luck, no name on the building Last time I was here, a nice fellow took my picture in front of the city hall. This time, I had to put the camera on a timer to get my face in the picture This "X" completes my city alphabet for this year. I have only completed the entire city alphabet one previous year.

This was another long day.  Fortunately, the remaining three days will be much easier and I will have time to meet friends tomorrow

Best Western Plus Dayton Northwest in Englewood for the night, another nice, big suite.
