Today from Dothan, AL to Birmingham, AL

Dothan, AL

Hotel: Days Inn Dothan 3071 Ross Clark Circle - a very bad place to stay
But, they have a good laundry room and I was able to get washing done
May get by with just one more small laundry this trip

The town of Troy, Pike County, AL has signs all over relating
to Trojan soldiers. There are also tributes to the Confederate soldiers.
Seems that this town roots for the losing side.

Downtown Troy is build around a town square

I was interested when I saw Momma Goldberg's Deli, but it is not a Jewish deli.
On the corner, you can learn clog dancing
Milky Moo's -- is that a play on Disney's rodent?

Montgomery, Montgomery County, AL is totally closed down on Sundays
The streets are a ghost town and nothing is open

Alabama State Capitol 600 Dexter Ave

These two state office buildings are empty on Sunday.
I guess there is no state business to do today.

As I started out this morning, the skies were clear
As the day wore on, more and more, darker and darker clouds appeared

Next stop was in Pelham, AL for the

As I was inside choosing a t-shirt, the rain started.
I came out to a wet saddle and a wet ride on into Burminham

Last night's stay was in a motel in the bottom ten of my all time baddies.
Tonight's is in the top ten.
