My Second Trek to the Midwest
Day 3, Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Portland,  Oregon
Today is a day that I visited my daughters and their families around Portland and Tigard.  I did a small ride between Heidi's and Katy's homes, but mostly, I just enjoyed the company and gave my butt a break.
Start of the day: Trip / Odometer: 49.5 / 39,595
Amity Lane

Heidi and Russ have a very nice camper for the back of their pickup truck.
It has a kitchen, a loft bedroom, a dining table, and even a bathroom with a stand-up shower.
They use it when they spend weekends at the coast fishing or crabbing.

Heidi has fixed herself a very nice office.  And works long hours from home.
Today she had to visit three different counties to do research for her customers.

Heidi has a constant companion who watches over her while she works.
Usually out from under foot beneath some cozy piece of furniture.

Schoss Ferry Road

Katy has just moved into a real nice two bedroom apartment. It even has a tiny patio and a small backyard.

We walked from there up to a mall that is about umpty-sixteen miles away and I was in my motorcycle boots.
Okay, it is really only a mile or so each way, but that's a long ways on these tired, old,, pinched feet.

Along the way, it seems every hundred feet or so, Katy met some friend or other.
She is really well liked by a lot of folks.

Tylor is very aware when a camera is pointed at him and loves to make faces.

Nicholas' hair length is a bone of contention between he and his mom.

The kids are full of vim and vinegar, but are really good kids.
