Hershey, PA to York, PA - 37 miles |
Packing to get back on the road again Two people, nine days on a motorcycle, two saddle bags and one trunk. I want my trailer! |
The big attraction in
Hershey, PA is, you guessed it
the
Hershey Park open 10AM to 6PM today Headed over first thing and went to the Hershey Museum Looked around inside, but this is not where we wanted to go. So we snacked. There is a different place named Chocolate World located adjacent to the big roller coaster park. Entrance is free, but anything more costs money Waited in line outside the door for about 15 minutes and when we got inside, the line stretched for even longer. They only have one counter where you buy tickets for the premium attractions. There is a free ride where they take you through a spiel on how they make their milk chocolate. The three cows are ubiquidous and they sing Hershe's version of "It's A Small World" Near the end of the ride are counters that purport to count the products |
After that, we grabbed a bite and then headed on down the road Harrisburg is the Pennsylvania State Capitol The best photo opportunity was the justice center Dauphin County Courthouse for a county "D" is devilishly difficult to get a good photo of. It is tall and the name is only at the very top Fortunately, there is a county medical facility right next door |
