Today's plan is exploring Yellowstone Park
and returning to West Yellowstone, MT
We will not be putting many miles on today.

| Today is all about seeing
Yellowstone National Park We headed into the west entrance and then took the inner loop counter clockwise We took a ton of photos with two different cameras so the aspect ratios differ |

Our first stop was at some thermal vents. Very
interesting

We waited around for
Old Faithful Geyser (B) and we were
rewarded with a really impressive display Interesting, as soon as it passed the peak, people turned around and headed out I guess they wanted to get to the gift shop before the rest of the crowd

The thermal pools are all over and really fun We stopped by the Yellowstone Lake for some more

Remember what I said yesterday about the Continental
Divide being all over? We hit it again as we crossed 8.391 feet altitude  |

We rued ever seeing a bison, for a long time we only saw one
and that was across a great meadow Then we spotted a few along a river. I had to use the big camera because they were well about 200 yards away Fortunately it can reach that far and get a reasonable picture. Each time the bison were anywhere near the road, traffic halted as each car had stop to get a photo. 
 Then, we came across a bull grazing at the edge of the road. That white stripe in the bottom of the photo is the lane marker on the right edge of our lane. We passed within 10-12 feet of this fellow and he did not blink. I have to admit that thoughts of what he could do to us passed through my mind.  |
